Privacy

A to-do app knows a lot about you. We act like it.

People write doctor's appointments and money worries into their lists. A household app also knows about children. So the bar is high, and it's part of the design, not a setting.

How it works today

  • No ads, no trackers, no selling. Not in the app and not on this site, which loads nothing from anyone else.
  • Nobody reads your content. Not to improve anything, not for support. Statistics are counts and patterns, never what your items say.
  • Your lists are private, even within the household. Shared things (meals, chores, the wall) are shared; personal things aren't.
  • Nothing sensitive on the wall. It's in a kitchen anyone walks through, so only household things show there.
  • Screens and remotes are paired, not logged in. A short code, revocable at any moment from your phone.
  • Invitation-only sign-in with a code by email. No passwords to leak.

For the version you'd be able to use

TodayOS is used by one household now. Before anyone else's data goes in, these come first:

  • Data stored in the EU.
  • Export everything, whenever you want, as a file you can read.
  • Delete a member or the whole household from the app, for real.
  • A proper privacy policy and terms, checked by someone who knows the law.
  • The strictest defaults for children: nothing public, nothing shared outside the household.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and your answers only to tell you how it goes and to understand who'd want this. No newsletter you didn't ask for, no sharing, and removal whenever you ask.
